MJZ NY Inc. is a growing facilities services and construction management company supporting commercial clients throughout the United States. We coordinate maintenance, emergency service, renovations, equipment installation, and capital improvement projects through an established network of qualified vendors and subcontractors.

The Opportunity

MJZ is seeking experienced facilities and construction professionals who want to generate additional income while maintaining the flexibility to work remotely and continue other professional activities.

This is not a traditional salaried position. It is an independent contractor opportunity designed for self-directed professionals who can develop client opportunities, manage assigned accounts, oversee projects, or perform a combination of these responsibilities.

The contractor will manage commercial service requests and projects from initial opportunity through completion. MJZ provides the operating platform, administrative support, estimating resources, vendor network, invoicing capabilities, insurance, and established company infrastructure needed to execute projects professionally.

Compensation

This is a commission-based independent contractor opportunity with no fixed salary or guaranteed hours. Compensation is based on the financial performance of projects originated and/or managed by the contractor and is paid according to an agreed percentage of collected project gross profit.

Earning potential is directly connected to the volume, profitability, and successful completion of projects. Compensation terms may vary depending on whether the opportunity is contractor-generated or provided by MJZ.

Responsibilities

Develop new commercial client and project opportunities.
Manage MJZ-provided accounts and project opportunities when assigned.
Evaluate service requests, project requirements, drawings, photographs, and site conditions.
Coordinate estimates, proposals, subcontractor pricing, and project schedules.
Source, qualify, dispatch, and manage vendors and subcontractors.
Manage projects remotely from initial request through final completion.
Maintain regular communication with clients, vendors, and MJZ leadership.
Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and profitability.
Identify and document changed conditions and additional work.
Obtain required documentation, including photographs, service reports, proposals, invoices, and closeout records.
Support timely customer billing and subcontractor payment processing.
Protect MJZ’s client relationships, confidential information, and professional standards.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience managing commercial service work or construction projects.
Strong understanding of project costs, subcontractor pricing, scopes of work, and gross-profit management.
Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
Strong client communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple active assignments in different locations.
Access to a computer, telephone, reliable internet connection, and an appropriate remote workspace.
Existing professional relationships or an established network of clients, vendors, or subcontractors is highly desirable.
Ability to avoid conflicts with current employers, clients, and contractual obligations.
